The Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting, operating and maintaining CNC machine tools to manufacture precision components to customer specifications. Opportunities are available within both the Milling and Turning departments, with the role suited to someone confident working independently while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC machine tools using Fanuc controls.
* Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Set tooling, fixtures and machine offsets to ensure efficient production.
* Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using a range of measuring equipment.
* Identify and resolve basic machining and production issues.
* Ensure components are produced to the required quality and tolerance standards.
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
* Follow all company health and safety procedures.
* Work closely with Production and Quality teams to achieve manufacturing targets.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
You should have:
Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator.
Experience with in either CNC Milling or CNC Turning.
Experience using Fanuc-controlled CNC machinery.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometres and gauges.
Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes.
Knowledge of precision engineering and quality standards.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
Package
£34,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience).
Overtime available (subject to business requirements).
Company pension.
