The Opportunity

As a leader in sustainable construction materials, we’re looking for an Asphalt Plant Manager/ Assistant Manager to take full ownership of site operations, driving performance, safety and continuous improvement across the plant.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for optimising production, developing your team and ensuring the site consistently delivers high-quality materials to our customers.

As Asphalt Plant Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the plant’s daily operations — from production and maintenance to safety, quality and team leadership
.

You’ll play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement
, ensuring the plant not only meets but exceeds performance targets.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the asphalt plant
    , ensuring safe, efficient and compliant production
  • Promoting and embedding a strong Health & Safety culture
    , ensuring all activities align with company standards and legislation
  • Driving production performance
    , ensuring output, quality and on-time delivery targets are consistently met
  • Maximising plant efficiency by optimising processes, resources and asset utilisation
  • Monitoring plant performance and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Managing and developing plant teams, including recruitment, training, performance management and engagement
  • Managing site budgets, costs and resources to ensure strong financial performance
  • Ensuring compliance with all quality standards, environmental requirements and operational procedures
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in a Plant Manager or similar leadership role
    , ideally within asphalt, aggregates or a heavy industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of production, maintenance and operational management principles
  • Good knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental standards
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop and motivate high-performing teams
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • IT literacy and familiarity with operational systems
  • Minimum IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
