Salary: £18 – £21 per hour, depending on experience
Location:
Luton, Bedfordshire
Working pattern:
Full-time, permanent — 40 hours (Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm)
Pact Engineering is a long-established, family-owned precision engineering company with a strong reputation for producing high-quality, complex components for the motor sport, food production and wider manufacturing sectors. As our order book continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled CNC Miller to help us deliver the standards our customers expect.
What you'll be doing- Programming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines
- Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
- Using modern inspection equipment to verify part quality
- Working independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
- Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining our quality standards
- Experience programming, setting or operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines
- Competent CNC programming on HEIDENHAIN controls, or a willingness to train
- Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Understanding of the standards required to produce a high-quality finish
- Confidence using modern inspection tools and equipment
- Able to work with minimal supervision and use your initiative
- Fork-lift truck experience or certification is an advantage, but not essential
- Permanent, full-time position with an early Friday finish
- Regular overtime available (non-contractual)
- Ongoing training and development, including HEIDENHAIN programming
