We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Biscott Mill Vet Centre on a full-time basis.
Biscott Mill Vet Centre is a busy small animal town practice, with a progressive attitude that takes pride in the high standards of care that we provide. Located in Luton with transport links to London, Bedford and Luton Airport, the practice is fully equipped with a laboratory suite, sterile theatre, radiography, dental x-ray, a bright and airy reception area and three consulting rooms.
Our team consists of the Practice Director, Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon, nursing and reception teams, dedicated to delivering the best possible veterinary care and service to patients and clients.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Our Nurses work closely with our Vets and Support staff to ensure the best possible care is provided. They are well respected and fully supported, with extra training available for those returning to nursing or just starting their career. You will be encouraged to pursue special interests and CPD. We are a Training Practice, encouraging Nurses to be involved in training and complete schedule 3 procedures.
Pattern
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 7:30 pm
- 1:3 Saturday mornings
- Running nursing consults
- Inpatient care
- Lab work
- Diagnostic imaging
- Monitoring anaesthesia
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care.
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement

Salary:
Up to £33,000 DOE.
