Ready to take your surgical skills to the next level?
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Surgical Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive, well-equipped small animal team in Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a vet with a passion for surgery to take a leading role in surgical cases, share their knowledge and help shape clinical standards within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Whether you're already a surgical certificate holder or currently working towards one, you'll have the facilities, clinical support and development opportunities to continue building your expertise while making a real difference to patients, clients and colleagues.
The RoleThis is an opportunity to take ownership of the surgical pathway, working closely with the senior veterinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and support the continued development of clinical colleagues.
You'll enjoy a varied caseload, clinical autonomy and the opportunity to develop your surgical interests in a practice with excellent facilities and a strong multidisciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a varied range of surgical cases, maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
- Working collaboratively with the wider veterinary team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge and helping develop surgical confidence across the team.
- Contributing to clinical discussions, sharing best practice and helping drive continuous improvement.
- Building strong relationships with clients through clear communication, empathy and a reassuring approach.
- Continuing to develop your own clinical skills, with support for further qualifications and professional interests.
This is a clinical leadership opportunity rather than a line management position, allowing you to focus on surgery, clinical excellence and supporting others.

You'll ideally bring:

- A supportive, approachable attitude and a willingness to mentor fellow clinicians.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to outstanding client care.
- A proactive approach to learning, clinical development and sharing best practice.
Above all, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, values high clinical standards and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the development of both people and patient care.
The Practice & FacilitiesYou'll be joining an established small animal team with a strong range of clinical expertise, excellent equipment and a genuine commitment to collaborative working.
Facilities include:
- A dedicated orthopaedic theatre.
- Two fully equipped soft tissue theatres, both with laparoscopic equipment.
- A double dental suite.
- A dedicated diagnostic imaging suite.
- Access to visiting CT services.
- Separate wards for dogs, cats and exotic patients.
You'll work alongside a large, supportive team of veterinary surgeons, nurses, patient care assistants, receptionists and administrative colleagues. The veterinary team includes certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, cardiology, medicine, endoscopy and endosurgery, creating excellent opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and clinical support.
You'll also have access to wider clinical networks, experienced regional colleagues and specialist advice when…
