Sales Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to support our Shop Manager and volunteer team in a charity shop. The role requires customer‑focused experience, a friendly and positive outlook, and a commitment to excellent service.

• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising throughout the shop.
• Assist customers throughout their visit, from entering the shop to completing their purchase.
• Actively promote and explain the benefits of Gift Aid and other promotions.
• Complete all company paperwork, including cashing up and banking procedures.
• Encourage and assist with the training of volunteers.
• Assist in the sorting and preparation of donated stock.
• Travel to other shops when required.
• Support the Shop Manager with best practice and Health and Safety procedures.
• Take responsibility for the daily running of the shop and management of volunteers in the Manager’s absence.
• Ensure personal behaviour reflects the company’s vision and values.

Shift‑based, Monday to Saturday. Hours will be worked on a shift basis between Monday – Saturday.
