Area to be covered:
North and West of London: AL, EN, HA, HP, LU, MK, N, NN, NW, OX, SG, WD
Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 Neg. + up to £8,000 Commission plus Bonus

- This role is for temporary maternity cover – 12 month contract
- Field sales role selling a full range of manufactured floor coverings / carpet tiles
- Promoting multi-loop and low level loop carpet tiles as well as some ranges of FRS (full repeatable scroll)
- This is a transactional field sales role, with the majority of your time selling into flooring contractors (65%)
- Remainder of time selling into architects and interior designers (A&D), but also: fit-out contractors, property developers, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management, local authorities and main contractors
- Inheriting an area with a turnover of approx. £1m
- New business position, although there will be a healthy project bank to inherit
- Targeting commercial buildings such as office blocks as well as the education sector: schools, universities & colleges and a small amount of healthcare
- Utilising ABI leads and in-house CRM database
- Project sizes from 500m2, typically £10,000 upwards project value
- Must have a proven field sales track record, ideally selling into flooring contractors
- Flooring/ carpet industry backgrounds preferred
- Open to other interior products such as: wall coverings, fabric, ceiling, partitioning or furniture
- Contacts within fit-out contractors, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management and local authorities are not essential
- Specification sales experience with architects and interior designers (A&D) may be useful but not essential
- Tactile sales background rather that technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related
- Some knowledge of how sustainability is driving both the construction and interior market would be beneficial.
