As a Volunteer Criminal Justice Support Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you will be working in close collaboration with Criminal Justice Recovery Workers and Probation Service, you will work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.
ResponsibilitiesWith this role you’ll be working as part of the Criminal Justice team, based in CGL, Luton Recovery Alliance service.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
As a Criminal Justice Recovery Support Volunteer
, you will be:
- Assisting recovery coordinators in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey and community order or licence conditions
- Completing assessments, risk management plans and undertaking one to one work with service users.
- Work with colleagues to run the support group for service users under the Criminal Justice Team.
This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to gain experience of working within both the substance misuse and the criminal justice fields. You will be part of a supportive team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of others.
We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day‑to‑day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too.
