Salary: £24,925 – £27,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Fixed term for 12 months (extension subject to funding)

Citizens Advice Luton is a well‑respected local charity with over 30 years’ experience of delivering free, independent and impartial information, advice and casework services that meet the changing needs of local residents. Our aim is to provide the independent, impartial, confidential and free advice people need for the problems they face and to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.

We are recruiting a Debt Advice Caseworker (trainee or already qualified) to join our specialist debt advice team. Full training will be given as required.

• Assess clients and give advice through various channels including telephone, face‑to‑face and email.
• Provide clients with advice and options on how to deal with their debts.
• Coordinate with creditors and signpost clients to relevant services.
• Assist clients with next steps and follow‑through on agreed actions.
