What You’ll be doingAre you passionate about supporting disabled children, young people and their families to achieve positive outcomes? We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Disability Family Intervention Worker to join our Short Breaks Hub team.
In this rewarding role, you'll provide direct support to children, young people and families, working closely with partner agencies to assess needs, develop support plans, and help deliver meaningful interventions. You'll be confident managing a varied caseload, maintaining accurate records, completing assessments, and contributing to safeguarding and family support decision-making.
What we’re looking forWe're looking for someone with experience working with children and families in a social care, education or healthcare setting, strong communication and report-writing skills, and a good understanding of child development, safeguarding, equality and the Children Act. An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.

Application ProcessBecause of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare all unspent cautions and convictions; and also any adult cautions (simple or conditional), and spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020).
