As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering people, their families, and carers to lead fulfilling, independent lives. Using a strengths-based approach, you will provide person-centred support that focuses on achieving positive outcomes, promoting wellbeing, and enhancing quality of life.

About you
As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support that enables individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives. You will promote choice, dignity and inclusion, supporting people to access community activities and services while meeting their physical, emotional and social needs. Acting as an advocate, you will build positive relationships with individuals, families and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will play a key role in supporting and guiding colleagues, providing formal support to staff and working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise effectively with a wide range of people, respond confidently to emergency situations, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment where discrimination is challenged and addressed appropriately.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities, or a willingness to develop this knowledge, alongside a commitment to achieving a Level 3 Care qualification. You will be flexible in your approach, able to travel between service locations, and willing to work a varied shift pattern including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights.
The role also requires the ability to undertake moving and handling duties, following appropriate training and health and safety guidance, and to communicate confidently and effectively in spoken and written English.
