The Opportunity

We're seeking a Dev Ops & Python Engineer to join a programme delivering modern cloud-based services supporting immigration and border management systems.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Python development, AWS, and Kubernetes experience who enjoys building automation, developing cloud-native solutions, and improving platform services within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automation tools, APIs, and platform services using Python and Go.
• Automate infrastructure and cloud resource management within AWS.
• Support and enhance Kubernetes-based platforms and deployments.
• Integrate enterprise tooling including LDAP, Hashi Corp Vault, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure high standards of testing, code quality, and security.
• Work closely with platform, development, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Essential Skills

• Strong commercial experience with Python development.
• Experience with Go (Golang).
• AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, and Cloud Watch.
• Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• Hashi Corp Vault, LDAP/Active Directory integration.
• Git, Git Hub Actions and/or Git Lab CI.
• Automated testing using Pytest and Go testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Dev Ops, automation, and CI/CD practices.
