Luton are excited to recruit a Passenger Assistant on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their Passenger Transport Unit department. You will be working with the general public and transporting up to 16 passengers
* at any one given time. You will need a D1 category on your driving licence. To be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a similar role previously.
About the Passenger Assitants:
Safely transport passengers to various locations across Luton
Create a safe, supportive atmosphere for passenger in line with safety guidelines
Ensure all safety checks are carried out in line with standard procedures
Check vehicles to ensure they are clean and fuelled appropriately
Report any incidents within the safety guidelines About you :
Proficient communicator in English
Experience of driving larger vehicles and understand basic maintenance - basic training will be provided
Confident with members of the general public
Be able to lift items such as wheelchairs and buggy equipment
This position requires Enhanced DBS check.
