HGV Driver

Job Overview

Ocado Logistics is looking for HGV drivers to support our mission of transforming grocery delivery across the UK. You will operate a state‑of‑the‑art fleet – including natural‑gas vehicles – driving to a mix of large Customer Fulfilment Centres and smaller regional warehouses.

• Deliver and collect groceries to and from a variety of locations across the UK.
• Operate routes up to 12.5 hours per day, with flexibility for additional hours as required.
• Adopt working hours within the following initial windows: 23:00 – 03:00.
• Work nights, overnight, late in the day and early mornings, including weekends.
• Maintain vehicle safety and comply with all road‑law requirements.

• Valid Category C+E driving licence.
• Minimum of 6 months of commercial driving experience is desirable but not essential.
• Safe, competent driver with a positive attitude.
• Flexible to adjust shift lengths on a daily basis.

• Employer‑funded private medical insurance after 12 months.
• Paid Digital Tachograph card renewal.
• Paid Driver Medical in line with licence requirements (through approved supplier).
• Ongoing periodic CPC training during your career.
• Up to 7% matched pension contributions after three months of service.

Position is lunar paid – you will be paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule.

• Basic hourly rate: £19.20
• Evening premium (18:00‑06:00): £2.00
• Sunday premium: £1.74
• Sunday evening premium (18:00‑06:00): £3.94
• Overtime rate – Monday to Saturday (Day Shift): £24.00
• Overtime evening (18:00‑06:00): £26.50
