Job Description & How to Apply Below

Elmhurst is currently recruiting for a new team member to join our Finance Team.

Our Business Analyst (BA) role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how a business works and turning that insight into clear, deliverable solutions. You’ll play a key part in gathering and analysing business requirements, shaping projects from initial idea through to delivery, and helping teams across Elmhurst achieve successful outcomes.

At Elmhurst Energy, software is at the heart of what we do. Our IT applications are central to our position as industry leaders in building energy rating, and this role will help ensure our products remain high quality, user‑focused and aligned with business and regulatory needs. As a BA, you will act as the business advocate within product development, working closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to ensure projects are well‑defined, well‑managed and delivered on time.

What

can I expect to do in the role?

In this role, you’ll spend most of your time working with stakeholders to understand their objectives and translate them into clear, structured requirements for our software and processes.

You’ll support the planning and coordination of projects, helping to manage timelines and expectations so that work stays on track. Alongside this, you’ll analyse how our current systems and processes are performing, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to decisions about the design and enhancement of our digital products.

You’ll also help monitor key performance measures and ensure that any issues or complaints are understood, tracked and addressed in a timely, professional way.

About You

People are what make Elmhurst great. It is the drive and commitment of our people that creates our success, which is why we focus on recruiting and developing the best talent.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Analytical, problem‑solving mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling strong relationships across IT and the wider organisation
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • Experience in a similar role (information management, data analysis, agile project planning, or EPC accreditation scheme knowledge)
  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE or equivalent standard
