Are you an engineer with experience in automation?

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join us at our brand-new site for one of our largest clients.

As an Automation Engineer, where you'll play a key role in maintaining and supporting advanced automated systems. You'll provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring equipment operates reliably, safely, and efficiently to meet the site's operational performance targets.

You will work a rotating shift pattern ( & ), covering 16 x 5 x 365 operations, so flexibility is key.

What will you be doing as Automation Engineer

  • Deliver high-quality engineering support across automated systems and conveyors.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operations, following Health & Safety protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives alongside the CI Manager.
  • Collaborate with Site Managers and Field Service teams to solve technical challenges.
  • Maintain equipment, diagnose faults, and keep downtime to a minimum.
  • Maintaining and supporting electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Resetting equipment errors and supporting operational performance.

What we are looking for?

  • Engineering qualification: NVQ, B-Tec, C&G, HNC/ONC
  • Proven experience in logistics automation, MHE, or similar engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards
  • Full UK driving licence.
