Working side‑by‑side with brokers, customers and internal teams, we shape the right solution, deliver a strong customer experience, and apply smart risk controls and operational discipline to get deals completed smoothly and responsibly.
Aboutthe Role
As Head of Business Support in our Asset Finance division, you’ll lead the teams that keep our new business and day‑to‑day administration running smoothly. You’ll combine strategic oversight with a hands‑on approach—making sure deals complete efficiently, customers and brokers get a great experience, and standards stay high across accuracy, compliance and service. Working closely with Sales, Underwriting and Operations, you’ll remove bottlenecks, improve processes, and help build the operating rhythm that supports our growth—always displaying Decency, Enterprise and Brilliance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clear and consistent leadership to the New Business Pay‑Out and Administration teams, ensuring a high‑performing, engaged and customer‑focused environment.
- Facilitate completion of new deals, including issuing documentation and liaising with the wider team, ensuring all conditions are satisfied.
- Deliver a professional service to our clients, brokers and introducers on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Help develop, understand, promote and educate the team in their knowledge of Asset Finance products and their career development, with set team objectives and regular feedback.
- Act as a senior point of escalation for complex queries, offering sound judgement and balanced decision‑making.
- Lead the day‑to‑day operation of business support activities, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant execution of pay‑out and administrative processes.
- Maintain strong oversight of workflow management, resource allocation and service levels, ensuring consistent delivery against agreed standards.
- Work proactively with internal teams to resolve issues, remove bottlenecks and ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Ensure seamless transitions between teams, particularly from credit approval to pay‑out and onboarding.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Underwriting, and Operations to support joined‑up service delivery.
- Regularly review systems, controls and procedures to improve efficiency, quality and risk management.
- Maintain a strong focus on governance, always ensuring audit readiness and adherence to compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrable leading qualities
- A hands‑on leader who can balance day‑to‑day delivery with building better processes for the future
- Strong knowledge of Asset finance documentation, products and security structures
- Confident managing workflows, priorities and service levels across multiple moving parts
- Strong stakeholder management – able to partner effectively with Sales, Underwriting and Operations
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and committed to accuracy and compliance
- Comfortable using data to track performance, spot issues early, and improve outcomes
- Clear, professional communicator with a customer‑first mindset
