Drainage Operative - Nights

Overview

We’re looking for motivated Drainage Operatives to join our Water and Drainage Management team. Working alongside an experienced HGV Driver as part of a supportive two-person crew, you’ll learn specialist skills, work with industry-leading equipment and be part of a team where no two days are ever the same. The role involves cyclical gully maintenance and the opportunity to earn performance-related bonuses on eligible cyclic gully cleaning contracts, rewarding high-quality work and productivity.

• Support HGV Drainage Engineers with drainage maintenance and repair work.
• Assist with High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) and CCTV drainage surveys.
• Carry out drainage cleaning, investigations and planned maintenance.
• Respond to emergency and reactive drainage callouts.
• Operate our GIS Trimble system in line with company procedures.
• Work safely as part of a close-knit team using specialist vehicles and equipment.

• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and a positive, reliable attitude.
• Previous drainage experience advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ), Street Works or confined space work advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and acquire an HGV licence through our Apprenticeship Programme after successful probation.
