Position Summary

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician (Psychologist) to provide direct therapy services to adult and pediatric patients in an integrated primary care setting. This role functions with a high level of independence while working collaboratively with the primary care team. Responsibilities include delivering evidence‑based interventions, supporting clinical pathways, consulting with providers, and ensuring timely documentation and follow‑up. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed through conferences and reports to ensure desired outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive and behavioral interventions to adults and children with behavioral health needs
• Facilitate classes appropriate for primary care (e.g., stress management, sleep improvement, chronic pain)
• Consult with primary care providers regarding patient care needs
• Complete same‑day follow‑up on all PCP referrals and document timely in the medical record
• Deliver brief presentations or trainings to primary care teams on behavioral health topics
• Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical pathway programs
• Consult with legal authorities when required
• Manage a full daily patient schedule as outlined in the BHC manual
• Support TFHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values
• Supervise peer providers in training or not yet fully licensed, as applicable
• Attend meetings, committees, and conferences as assigned

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a therapist
• Current and unencumbered Florida license to practice
• Current BLS certification

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience providing mental health services in a community‑based setting preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Experience with Autism testing, including ADI and ADOS (required)
• Ability to navigate and document in an electronic health record
• Ability to work independently while adhering to TFHC, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with patients who may be distressed, fearful, or uncooperative
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills; ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with primary care teams and behavioral health professionals
