Position OverviewThe Regional MRI Modality Manager provides operational oversight, quality assurance, and technical staff supervision across multiple outpatient imaging centers. This role combines leadership of MRI services with the development and ongoing management of research protocols. The manager collaborates with leadership, site managers, and corporate quality to ensure patient care and image quality standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services efficiently and professionally, ensuring confidentiality and individualized patient care.
- Maintain visibility and interaction with site personnel, technologists, radiologists, vendors, and supportive multidisciplinary teams.
- Recruit, hire, evaluate, and develop technical staff, overseeing performance management and professional development initiatives.
- Oversee equipment performance, safety, and readiness; collaborate with Quality to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Support clinical leadership and radiologists to keep protocols current and quality standards high; coordinate daily case management workflows.
- Lead daily and weekly huddles with site leaders and technical staff, host quarterly educational and training meetings, and maintain working schedules to support efficient exam flow.
- Manage supply ordering, costs, and fiscal responsibility in partnership with Operational Leadership to maintain appropriate staffing ratios.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Must hold ARRT(MR) and/or ARMIT registry and state licensure, if applicable.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
- 5+ years of MRI experience with a focus on research and safety.
- Self‑motivated, positive work‑environment leader who promotes staff engagement and superior patient care.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills with a commitment to staff skill development.
- Experience with protocol building, scan optimization, and proactive engagement with clinicians and patients.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications relevant to the role.
- In‑depth knowledge of MRI safety and a drive to expand clinical research initiatives.
- More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motion, visual, and verbal communication tasks.
- Less than 50% of the time: lift and transfer patients, stoop, kneel or crawl, and climb and balance as needed.
