Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that clients and other members receive an exceptional fitness experience.
Responsibilities- Achieve sales targets month-over-month, driving membership growth and ensuring the team meets or exceeds set goals for new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue generation.
- Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and establish a smooth transition into the club experience.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff members, including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers.
- Manage the payroll process for Assistant Fitness Managers and personal trainers to ensure team members are paid correctly and timely.
- Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to other department leaders and staff members, ensuring everyone understands their roles.
- Ensure all fitness staff maintain appropriate certifications and training such as CPR, First Aid, and personal trainer certifications.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff members on performance, highlighting strengths and improvement areas.
- Ensure high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns or complaints, managing membership inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Engage with members in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs and providing clear and helpful responses.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain proper certifications, and implement safety protocols.
- Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies or unexpected disruptions, providing necessary instructions and updates.
- 2 years of management experience; fitness or personal training management experience is a plus.
- 3–4 years of customer service experience.
- Personal training sales experience preferred.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with employees, management, and vendors.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels.
- Strong detail orientation and systematic problem‑solving approach; good time management, organization, and record‑keeping skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills.

- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Valid PT certification.
- Previous sales experience required.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, move about club floors and rooms, communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to access and operate the company computer system, including preparing documents, entering data, and reading reports.
- Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs.
Salary Pay Range: $58,656 – $60,008 USD.
