The primary responsibility of the RSS Assistant Supervisor position is assisting in supervising RSS staff and monitoring activity at the property at all times. In this role, the individual should maintain a positive rapport with co-workers and residents and provide a high level of detailed follow-up with the RSS Supervisor the Executive Director. The RSS Assistant Supervisor position should display a proactive, positive attitude and perform all job functions as described below.
EssentialJob Functions and Responsibilities
- This is a WORKING POSITION, performing all the duties of the RSS position.
- Assist in scheduling the work shifts of the RSS members.
- Assist with supervising the staff to ensure they are adequately performing their duties.
- Promptly notify the RSS Supervisor and the Executive Director any significant activity, problems, or concerns regarding the property.
- Promptly report any injuries, discipline problems and RSS members concerns to the RSS Supervisor and the Executive Director.
- Assist with Interviewing RSS applicants and with overseeing and training new hires.
- RSS employees are NOT armed.
- Working regular shifts and additional hours, when necessary, as directed by the RSS Supervisor or Executive Director.
- Following safe workplace rules and practices in order to prevent on-the-job injuries.
- Uses discretion and maintains confidentiality of co-workers, management, owners, past and current residents, and vendors.
- Adheres to established regulations related to the Fair Housing Act.
- Maintains consistent and timely attendance, sets an example for their co-workers in punctuality.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Ability to resolve resident concerns while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to write and communicate professionally
- Ability to apply sound decision-making
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork by assisting co-workers
- Ability to communicate professionally and adapt interpersonal skills to a variety of audiences
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, feel or grip, and reach with hands and arms while performing standard duties.
- Frequently required to climb stairs, walk, talk, hear, and drive a golf cart while on the property.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Frequently use common office equipment, telephone, computer, keyboard, mouse, two-way radio, digital camera, and variety of different keys.
- Full-time position;
Monday through Friday 4:00 p.m.
- 12:30 a.m. - 96 hours PTO accrued each year for first two years of service
- 136 hours of PTO each year after two years and above
- 176 hours of PTO accrued each year after 7 years of service
- Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance available after 30-day waiting period
- 401k with 3% Contribution
- Good background required
- 90-day probationary period
