Role/

Purpose:

Prep work weldments from engineering drawings utilizing band saws, drill press, hand grinders, and TIG welding stainless steel. Press brake and sheet metal experience required. Can perform all duties of a Welder 1.

• Ability to assemble weldments from drawings.
• Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, covers.
• Operation of a TIG welder, setup, and maintenance.
• Operate drill press, and band saw.
• Utilize hand grinders/sanders to perform grain finishing.
• Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and computer.
• Cut raw material per engineering drawings.
• Group required parts prescribed in BOM.
• Weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders.
• Follow SOP and OPLs.

• Proficient blueprint and tape measure knowledge, with attention to dimensions and tolerances.
• Fabrication shop practices.
• Capable of performing all Welder 1 tasks when necessary.
• Organizational proficiency.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade School or Apprentice Program or a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in similar position.
