On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2118). This description reflects an On-Demand, part-time role with flexible scheduling where opportunities to pick up shifts are posted by store leadership and managed through the myTime app.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to understand their needs and help solve their specific issues.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest concerns and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and express appreciation for their visit.
• Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment or sign-up as needed. Be familiar with all fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
• Explain how to use Wallet and other features in the Target App.
• Handle returns following register prompts and collaborate with leaders as needed to resolve guest concerns in line with Target policies.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience as required, following policies and procedures.
• Provide easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours as needed.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Work safely and comply with safety policies; report hazards and take corrective action where possible.
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-Up (DU) orders and returns, and comply with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage regulations where relevant).
• Support cash office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
• Other duties as required by business needs.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements

• Accurately handle cash transactions and support cash office operations as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
• Must work at least one shift within 5 months or face administrative termination.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including during Drive-Up or carryout tasks.
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
