Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC – Walmart

Position Summary

We are expanding our workforce across local retail stores and are actively recruiting Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

$26.00/hr – $51.00/hr

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders to support stores and store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance (or 8 years in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration).
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• AAS in A/C and Refrigeration (preferred).
• Universal EPA Certification (or Type I/Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.

• Individual compensation packages are based on factors including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications and other job‑related factors.
• Eligible for a bonus incentive.
