We are delighted to partner with a reputable, customer-centric automotive workshop in Lymington, Hampshire, to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician seeking a role where technical expertise and high-quality workmanship are valued. Our client’s workshop is renowned for delivering reliable diagnostics, servicing, and repairs across a broad range of vehicles, supported by nearly 100 years of combined industry experience.
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be an integral part of a busy team committed to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. This Vehicle Technician position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work in a well-resourced environment.
Benefits:- Basic salary up to £40,000
- Bonus scheme with realistic monthly earnings around £300-£400
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- 20 days holiday plus your birthday off, bank holidays, and a Christmas shutdown (3-5 days) with no deduction from holiday allowance
- Christmas shutdown of 3 to 5 days, depending on the calendar

- Mon-Fri working hours with flexibility where coverage allows
- Perform vehicle servicing across a variety of makes and models, maintaining high standards of quality
- Complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHC) and ensure accurate recording and diagnostics
- Diagnose and repair faults with precision and attention to detail
- Conduct brake and suspension repairs, replacements, and maintenance
- Support workshop efficiency by handling repairs on both cars and vans
- Maintain professionalism and uphold safety standards at all times
- Assist in ensuring smooth workshop operations in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a professional workshop setting
- Confidence in servicing, diagnostics, and fault repair
- Ability to complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs), and carry out brake and suspension work
- Competence working on mainstream vehicles; experience working on vans is advantageous
- MOT testing experience is desirable; MOT-qualified Technicians will be considered for the upper salary range
- Reliable, practical approach with excellent communication skills to explain work carried out
- Willingness to work Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with flexibility when required
