Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and engaging Teaching Assistant for an SEN School in the New Forest area between Brockenhurst and Lymington. The role is full‑time, temporary to permanent, starting in September.

• Monday‑Thursday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Work 39 weeks a year
• Pay £14.24 per hour

• Support pupils aged 7‑19 who are diagnosed with Asperger syndrome and other needs on the autistic spectrum
• Work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Manage varying levels of challenging behaviour and adapt to situations on the fly
• Collaborate with an experienced, supportive team of senior leaders, teachers and support staff, and participate in provided training

• C/4 or above in English and Maths GCSE (evidence required)
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within an SEN environment
• Empathetic, nurturing, and able to manage challenging behaviour effectively
