We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic R&D Lab Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our equipment and systems.
This is a full-time, on-site position with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.ResponsibilitiesAs an R&D Lab Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing calibration and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to calibration processes.
- Maintaining accurate records of calibration activities and generating detailed reports.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of calibrated equipment into operations.
- Continuously improving calibration processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in calibration technologies.
- Gas/air flow including variable area flow meters and mass flow meters
- Liquid flow including turbine flow meters, Coriolis flow meters and positive displacement flow meters
- Pressure indicators including pressure gauges, digital pressure indicators and manometers
- Temperature and humidity equipment such as digital thermometers and temperature & humidity probes
- Air velocity measurement equipment such as anemometers including vane anemometers, hot wire anemometers and pitot tubes
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in a calibration or similar engineering role.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related field are desirable.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting routine calibration checks and adjustments on equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving any discrepancies or faults in calibration.
- Documenting calibration results and maintaining accurate records.
- Liaising with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Participating in training and development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
