Job Summary
Exceptional personal and professional values that underpin clinical expertise. Excellent clinical skills with a desire to develop and innovate in the field of Rheumatology. A strong desire and drive to support transformation. You will be positive, constructive and approachable, along with being registered with the HCPC (or equivalent governing body). We’re looking for you to manage a varied caseload of patients, work under pressure and be committed to CPD.
Experience in the NHS or public/private sector is acceptable; focus is on the skills you can bring to the service.
As part of the Community Rheumatology Service, you’ll be a key part of the multi-disciplinary team including Physio’s, OT’s, APP’s, Nurses, GPwSI’s and Consultants, and work with the wider MSK service and Community Pain Team. The role focuses on expert assessment and management of potential rheumatological patients. You’ll be highly skilled in assessment and management, with skills that may include: training in this area, injection therapy, bloods ordering and interpretation, radiological imaging, independent prescribing and ultrasonography.
Some of these skills we would support once in the role. You will help develop and influence the design of the service, maintaining strong relations with existing hospital provision, focusing on high-risk complex patients. You will undertake comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes, and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge.
