We have the perfect job for you in our vehicle and plant workshops at the Marsh Lane Workshop, Lymington. As a skilled HGV Mechanic in our expanding, in‑house workshop facilities, your work will be varied.
Responsibilities- Perform routine servicing and maintenance on HGVs, LCVs, and plant.
- Diagnose faults on vehicles and plant.
- Carry out quality repairs.
- Operate welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Use computerized diagnostic systems such as Texa, Jaltest or similar.
- Trace and rectify intermittent and complex electronic faults.
- Design and fabricate components to enable repairs.
- Time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent training to City and Guilds Mechanics Certificate, IMI or BTEC.
- Substantial experience in vehicle or plant repairs and maintenance.
- Good general education.
- A valid driving licence.
- Preferably hold an HGV licence and Driver CPC certification (training available).
- £35,646 - £39,469 per annum (up to £42,429 including market supplement).
- 25–26 days annual leave plus an additional 5 days for 5 years of continuous service.
