Driver&;s Technician

Position: Driver's Technician
We are currently recruiting for a Driver’s technician to join a national construction equipment hire company – you must have a full clean drivers’ licence. As a Driver/Technician, you will be responsible for delivering, demonstrating and collect the equipment we hire out to customers and suppliers.

Driver Technician duties:

* Deliver, demonstrate, and collect equipment safely and professionally

* Liaise with sales and depot teams to meet customer requirements

* Maintain and service all equipment to minimum quality standards

* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects

* Keep the depot organised, clean, and secure

* Complete all start and finish of hire documentation accurately and on time

* Identify potential new customers or sites and alert your line manager

* Load and transport equipment safely in compliance with legislation

* Follow all company health and safety procedures and report any concerns

* Carry out any other reasonable duties to support depot operations

Profile of Driver Technician:

* You must be practical with a good eye for detail

* You must have a full, clean driving licence

* Positive demeaner with a can-do attitude

* Be a good team player

* Understanding of Microsoft Office including word and be able to maintain an inbox

To be successful in this job you will need a full driving licence, work experience in a driving and delivering role, good knowledge of the local area and some knowledge of tools, construction or plant would be a bonus.

Salary £27,000

The hours for this role are Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm although some flexibility may be required
