Maths Skills Build Specialist Teacher

Cheshire Area, up to £30,097 FTE Full-time (37 hours per week), Fixed-term until July 2027

As a Maths Skills Build Specialist Teacher, you will inspire and motivate learners to achieve their full potential and progress into further study or employment.

Plan and deliver engaging, targeted maths interventions for individuals and small groups.

Support students to develop core numeracy skills, exam techniques, and subject knowledge.

Work collaboratively with curriculum, safeguarding, and support teams to remove barriers to learning.

Deliver high-quality maths sessions, including occasional cover teaching for GCSE and Functional Skills.

• Holds a degree in Maths or a related subject.
• Has knowledge of GCSE and Functional Skills Maths delivery.
• Understands SEND and inclusive learning approaches.
• Can build strong, supportive relationships with learners.

• All candidates must have two years of referencing taken and a DBS check completed.
• All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
• Required to complete mandatory safeguarding and welfare training within six weeks of first assignment and annually thereafter.
