J+M Infrastructure is a Civil-Site & Utilities Contractor, who excels in Civil Construction and Site Development Contracting, with an emphasis on Utilities, and Excavation. We assist with new construction projects by performing demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer, storm drainage throughout central and southwest Virginia.
We are focused on building a team of dynamic, motivated individuals who are more than just employees but valued and respected players. People are our priority! We are currently seeking a Site Superintendent for projects in central and southwest Virginia.
The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring site safety, timely completion of projects, scheduling, and overseeing day to day in the field. This candidate must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, possess a positive can-do attitude, and be willing to get hands dirty and do whatever it takes to get the job done!
- Ensure the safety of team members and project sites at all times
- Maintain complete understanding of blueprints/drawings, schedules, project plans, subcontractor responsibilities, and scope of work
- Plan, schedule and assign daily tasks for site and crew
- Ensure daily production goals are met by performing walkthroughs to verify daily activities
- Manage, order and schedule materials, equipment and subcontractors
- Must communicate effectively
- Must be able to run multiple crews on multiple job sites if needed
- Must be able to lead self-perform crews, subcontractors and job site as a whole
- Minimum of 6 years of civil construction experience
- Must be a strong and effective leader, who leads by example
- Must possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license required, a CDL preferred
- Must pass drug test/screening
- Concrete experience preferred
Education:
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent preferred
OSHA 30 Required

Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. OT is possible depending on jobsite schedules and weather construction delays.
