- Education and Experience:
The Technical Studies Instructor must have a minimum of four years of field experience and have a journeyman’s plumbing license. Applicant’s resume must demonstrate this experience and should reflect both residential and commercial work. - Instructors will need to provide industry-recognized licenses or certifications
- It is preferred that the instructor have a college degree
- Communication and Comprehension:
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
English language proficiency; professional representation of Liberty University; strong organizational skills; computer skills - Problem Solving:
Ability to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve routine and complex problems
- May be required to travel
- May be required to sit for desk work or typing
- Regularly required to hear and speak to communicate
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business
- Regularly lift up to 10 pounds; must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Regularly required to perform work related to the trade
This position is in a setting similar to fieldwork, which may include uncontrolled climates, loud environments, and hazardous conditions. In-person work at an off-campus instructional site in Altavista, VA.
