Your Day to Day as a Facilities Management & Infrastructure Planning Project Engineer:
- Will serve as the overall project engineering analyst for the new facilitation projects.
- Duties rely heavily on advanced engineering skills, advanced word processing, and advanced spreadsheet development.
- Utilizes engineering background to incorporate efficiency improvement measures.
- Performs complex reporting and engineering analyses for project cost and schedule metrics.
- Develops complex macros using VBA and other high-level programming languages to produce detailed project data customized for each project application.
- Develops rev control system for project drawings.
- Updates SharePoint site to incorporate project data, metrics, and reporting, Power
BI charts, etc. - Utilizes software and custom programming code to develop complex short-term and long-term resource forecasting reports.
- Compiles reports, briefings, project updates/schedules, and presentation as requested by management and customers.
- Creates and revises customer procurement scenario estimates in Microsoft Planner.
- Compiles information for Proposal estimates and submits to Estimating.
- Develops CLIN/SLIN breakdowns and spending plans.
Pulls SAP costs for FM&IP and other departments for billing purposes.
* Ensures that project milestones and expectations are communicated to the entire project team, including field resources.
- Ensures tasks are being worked in the field align with weekly work plan.
- Provides regular schedules and cost updates to the entire project team and stakeholders.
- Works closely with the IE project Master Planner & Scheduler on a regular basis to accurately update the percent complete status and actual costs for all WBS tasks within each project.
- Communicates with high-level stakeholders, management, and the customer.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess at least 15 years related experience.
- 4-yr. Bachelor’s degree in engineering field.
- Must demonstrate excellent experience interpreting project schedules/Gantt charts.
- Must be willing to pursue Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proficient in the use of Micro Station and MS Suite.
- Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Pay: $$112,090 – $$177,000
The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$112,090 and $$177,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
