Director of Production @ Total Plastic Solutions

Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Lynchburg, VA, TPS operates a 122,500‑square‑foot, air‑conditioned facility equipped with advanced injection molding equipment ranging from 40 to 720 tons. TPS specializes in medical, aerospace, consumer products, automotive, and military industries, providing comprehensive services including product development, global supply chain management, and cleanroom manufacturing.

Role Description

This full‑time, on‑site role in Lynchburg, VA is for a Process Engineer who will design and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing process workflows and implementing efficient manufacturing solutions.
  • Monitoring and controlling process performance to meet quality targets.
  • Supporting engineering initiatives and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Analyzing data to implement process improvements.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to achieve operational goals and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in process design and engineering, developing efficient workflows.
  • Proficiency in process control principles and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate production data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Background in chemical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross‑disciplinary teamwork.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements (ISO 13485, FDA, GMP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in technical software tools and understanding of scientific molding principles is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
