The House and Promotion Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for ensuring a positive and seamless audience experience for all School of Music events. This role encompasses comprehensive ticketing management, venue preparation, staff supervision, and the development of promotional strategies to maximize event attendance. The Manager will provide exceptional customer service, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with technical staff to create a welcoming and organized environment for patrons.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Manage event ticketing, including online sales, box office operations, inventory, and customer service related to ticketing.
* Ensure optimal audience experience by managing crowd flow, addressing inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service, including accessibility for patrons with disabilities.
* Coordinate the setup and maintenance of the performance venue, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to technical requirements.
* Oversee the creation, distribution, and management of event programs, signage, and informational materials.
* Supervise, train, and schedule Front of House staff and volunteers, ensuring adherence to protocols and delivering clear instructions.
* Develop and implement promotional strategies to maximize event attendance and ticket sales, including the creation of discount codes and promotions.
* Generate and analyze ticket sales reports to inform event planning and promotional efforts.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, ticketing transactions, and venue operations.
* Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
* Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU's Christian model and Mission - Training Champions for Christ.

** QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS**##

Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Music, Hospitality Management, Arts Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in customer service, event management, and staff supervision, demonstrating strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Or, six (6) years of equivalent relevant work experience in customer service, event management, and staff supervision.
** ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB**## Communication and Comprehension
* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
* Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
* Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University.

** WORKING CONDITIONS**#### Work Environment The working environment for this position is primarily a climate-controlled setting with moderate noise levels, typical of an event venue or office. However, this role requires frequent work during evening hours and at events that may have low lighting conditions. Additionally, the position involves facilitating events outdoors on occasion. This role also includes standing and walking for extended periods, and navigating crowded areas.##
