This full-time Surg Tech opportunity is eligible for a $10,000 recruitment bonus if an offer is accepted by July 31st, 2025.

The Surgical Technologists are allied health professionals who are an integral part of the team providing surgical care to patients. They work under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate safe and effective invasive surgical procedures, ensuring a safe operating room environment, proper equipment function, and maximized patient safety. They possess expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and technological tools to assist physicians during invasive procedures.

Surgical Technologists adhere to Centra's best practices for quality and service, create a safe patient environment, and contribute to a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a safe environment that protects patients from harm.
  • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist RNs with patient education as appropriate.
  • Promote and sustain a culture of quality and safety.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and research findings.
  • Provide excellent service to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Handle conflicts promptly and professionally.
  • Contribute to unit goals and efficient patient flow.
  • Use resources efficiently, including time, personnel, and supplies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Support a learning environment for students from various academic programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

Education:

High School Diploma / GED; graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program.

Required

Certifications:

Certification in Surgical Technology.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 12 months of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
