The Role

As a Business Attorney at our firm, you will play a central role in advising a wide range of corporate clients on high‑stakes legal matters critical to their growth and operations. From structuring complex transactions to navigating regulatory challenges, you’ll provide practical, forward‑thinking counsel that empowers clients to make strategic decisions with confidence. This role offers direct access to sophisticated legal work, a collaborative team of experienced professionals, and the opportunity to influence the success of leading businesses across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Advising clients on business formation, corporate governance, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Representing clients in business‑related disputes, including negotiations, mediations, and litigation.
  • Developing and implementing sound legal strategies tailored to clients’ needs and business objectives.
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through exceptional communication, professionalism, and trust.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver seamless, high‑quality legal services in one of the region’s most respected business law practices.
Qualifications
  • Active Virginia State Bar license (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business law, including corporate governance, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters effectively and achieve favorable client outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of building lasting professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, professionalism, and collaboration.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience advising businesses on regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with a history of favorable results in contract disputes and other business‑related legal challenges.
