AboutThe Role
As a Family Law Attorney, you will represent clients in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child and spousal support, and adoption. This role demands a balance of strategic advocacy and empathetic client care, helping individuals navigate complex legal and emotional challenges with confidence.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and domestic relations.
- Handle litigation in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts and Circuit Courts.
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements while developing sound case strategies.
- Engage in negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Provide compassionate and strategic guidance to clients during emotionally charged situations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver seamless, high‑quality legal services in one of the busiest family law practices in the region.
- Active Virginia State Bar license (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law, including custody disputes, divorce, and domestic relations.
- Proven ability to manage negotiations effectively and achieve successful outcomes for clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust and rapport with clients.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, professionalism, and collaboration.
- Experience managing high‑conflict cases with a solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Strong written and verbal advocacy skills, with a history of achieving favorable outcomes in family law.
- A proactive, empathetic approach to client care and advocacy.
