Family Law Attorney

Compensation: $90,000 – $165,000 a year | Full‑time, Contract.

We are seeking a well‑rounded family law attorney who combines legal expertise with a commitment to client service and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. As one of the busiest family law divisions in the area, the firm is renowned for its excellence in advocacy, compassionate client care, and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for its clients.

As a Family Law Attorney, you will represent clients in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child and spousal support, and adoption. This role demands a balance of strategic advocacy and empathetic client care, helping individuals navigate complex legal and emotional challenges with confidence.

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and domestic relations.
• Handle litigation in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts and Circuit Courts.
• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements while developing sound case strategies.
• Engage in negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Provide compassionate and strategic guidance to clients during emotionally charged situations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver seamless, high‑quality legal services in one of the busiest family law practices in the region.

• Active Virginia State Bar license (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law, including custody disputes, divorce, and domestic relations.
• Proven ability to manage negotiations effectively and achieve successful outcomes for clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, professionalism, and collaboration.

• Experience managing high‑conflict cases with a solutions‑oriented mindset.
• Strong written and verbal advocacy skills, with a history of achieving favorable outcomes in family law.
• A proactive, empathetic approach to client care and advocacy.
