This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring attorneys to be in the office several days per week for client meetings, team collaboration, and court preparations, while providing flexibility to work remotely for certain tasks. As an Attorney with this firm, you will assist clients with a variety of legal needs, with a focus on bankruptcy filings, debt restructuring, and creditor negotiations, while also providing general legal counsel. You will play a critical role in developing strategic legal solutions, building lasting client relationships, and offering guidance during financially complex situations.

• Preparing and filing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions and related documents.
• Counseling clients on bankruptcy options, alternatives, and post-filing expectations.
• Representing clients in bankruptcy court and in meetings with creditors.
• Developing comprehensive legal strategies to resolve debt-related issues.

• Active Virginia State Bar license (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bankruptcy law or general legal practice.
• Proven ability to draft complex legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with clients.
• Excellent research and writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• A commitment to ethical standards, professionalism, and collaboration.

• Experience working with small businesses or individuals in financial distress.
• Familiarity with debt negotiation, restructuring, and consumer protection laws.
• A solutions-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to client challenges.
