Job Description- Represent the bank throughout the region in a manner aligned with the client’s aspiration to be the financial institution of choice and recognized as a top business leader in all markets.
- Lead sales and business development efforts in the region, focusing on loan growth, deposit growth, non‑interest income growth, and cross‑functional referral activity to support all business objectives.
- Accountable for overall profitability of all markets in the region, including pricing disciplines, net interest margin management, optimization of non‑interest income, and operating efficiency within defined company targets.
- Chiefly responsible for overall asset quality for the region, holding Commercial Lending Officers accountable for maintaining safety and soundness within defined risk parameters and credit culture expectations for the company as a whole.
- Represent the bank’s culture of responsibility within the region, emphasizing communication, employee recognition, engagement, teamwork, consistent performance management, and ongoing professional growth of associates.
- Meet or exceed annual goals, budgeted ROE/ROA, and other key metrics aligned with the strategic plan.
- Retain key senior team members, minimizing unwanted turnover.
- Manage direct reports—including Lending Officers and others—ensuring accountability for performance, staffing (hiring, firing, salary administration), and compliance with HR administration guidelines.
- Embodies the aspirational standard for exceptional customer experience, as defined in the bank’s long‑range strategic plan, and owns recovery of customer experience and service complaints within the region.
- Maintain acute familiarity with the most profitable customer relationships in each market defined for the region and support bankers in business development and customer retention activities.
- Cultivate high engagement of Local Advisory Boards of Directors as ambassadors for the bank in the community; may serve as designated chair and work with region employees to ensure board member performance supports business and community goals.
- Participate in all strategic planning activities and take ownership of appropriate strategic execution priorities as assigned.
- Lead by example in alignment with the company’s Servant Leadership philosophy and ensure that internal and external customers receive outstanding service.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions.
- Remain current on trends, business conditions, legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments that may impact operations, and support adaptability to change.
- Perform other duties as required by business needs and as directed by the President or CEO, including special assignments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related area or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or related graduate level education desirable; completion of graduate level banking school preferred.
- Minimum five years of banking experience in a leadership role, including commercial banking, retail banking, mortgage, wealth management, and marketing. Previous President or senior executive role in a similar sized bank preferred.
- Proven ability to present information and respond to questions from board members, C‑suite executives, managers, employees, and clients.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide direction, communicate expectations, and appraise performance of others, including leading business development activities.
- Effective constructive interpersonal skills with all constituencies.
- Experience developing, communicating, and implementing strategic initiatives within a market, ensuring organizational, regional, and/or market objectives are met.
- Annual Salary: $115,000 – $185,000 USD
