MAINTENANCE (FACTORY)

• Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 years of directly related experience
• Expert knowledge of equipment, practices, procedures, and concepts in pumps and motor maintenance
• Knowledge of company and industry safety and health policies and programs, as required for specific roles
• Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment
• Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
• May require specific nuclear reactor plant maintenance qualification training and certification

As a Mechanic/Machinist in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Pump & Motors Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit.

Your work will include

• Performing machining activities on large reactor coolant pump motors and pumps
  • Including the use of multiple lathes, horizontal boring mills, Vertical turret lathes, and mills
• Performing precision measurements with calibrated equipment
• Performing mechanical checks and inspections to pump and motor components and assist with refurb activities

The range of base salary for the position is between $33.80 – $44.30 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
