Supervisor Steel Fabrication - Night Shift

Oversee steel fabrication operations during the night shift, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

• Steel fabrication knowledge and experience (Welding/Fitting).
• Forklift, crane, and other material handling operation experience.
• Has managed/supervised a crew of more than 20 employees.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) with ability to learn other systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport with diverse backgrounds.
• Team player with excellent work ethic, attention to detail, organizational and listening skills.
• OSHA 10 certification required.

• Lead by example, strictly enforce company policies, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure employees have proper equipment needed to perform the job safely and meet customer and legal standards.
• Communicate with management, resolve issues, and make timely business decisions to ensure safe, on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a proactive relationship with other supervisors and the workforce.
• Manage people consistently and fairly, free from harassment and discrimination; set clear expectations, training, accountability, and fair evaluation.
• Train and develop employees in proper quality, operating, and safety procedures.
• Organize fabricated product workflow to meet delivery dates; prioritize material received and required work.
• Control workflow influence on production; pair right fabricator with right job; train less skilled workers to improve output.
• Follow and execute production/shipping plans provided.
• Follow direct instructions from Plant Manager or designee.
• Distribute work to employees and follow up to ensure instructions are being followed.
• Recommend disciplinary action to Plant Manager, General Manager, HR, or other designee.
• Review and approve weekly Timecard for correct jobs, batches, and time.
• Approve/deny time off requests for employees.

• Constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust, and noisy conditions.
• Lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching forward, balancing, feeling, object handling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping, and operating controls required.
• Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching required.
• Properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
