Machinist Mill

Position: Machinist Boring Mill

We are seeking an experienced Boring Mill Operator to set up and operate a horizontal boring mill to produce precision metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Set up and operate horizontal or vertical boring mills to perform precision machining operations.

* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.

* Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure accuracy.

* Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and machine settings to achieve required tolerances.

* Maintain a clean and safe work area, following company safety policies and procedures.

* Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.

* Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

* 3+ years of experience operating boring mills or similar machining equipment.

* Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and metal properties.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).

* Demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.

* CNC boring mill experience a plus but not required.

* Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen
