Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) play a vital role in patient care—managing both new and established visits, rounding in the hospital, and supporting surgical patients throughout their continuum of care.

• Collaborate daily with a core team of APPs, surgeons, and other specialties.
• Work with Cerner EMR for seamless documentation.
• Variable day shifts with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
• Assist in the operating room.
• Evaluate patients in clinic for post‑op and acute visits.
• Round, consult, discharge, and manage inpatient care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic evaluations and therapies.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Equal call rotation with the general surgery APP team (5 days per rotation).
• Call coverage shared among APPs in both Lynchburg and Bedford for team‑based flexibility.
• Flexible schedules with the option of 4×10s available.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
• Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• Maintains BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Nationally recognized certification in a field of specialization.
• Current active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
