This position operates on a schedule from 06:45 PM to 07:15 AM, with every other weekend or as needed.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in psychiatric care to join our Inpatient Nursing Unit. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with various mental health conditions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered nursing care to individuals with psychiatric disorders including MDD, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and maintain a safe environment for all patients.
- Active RN license and certification to practice nursing in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing.
- Current certifications: BLS, HWC, MANDT, and TOVA-certified de-escalation/physical hold training.
