Description:
Orientation is conducted biweekly on Mondays.
The position is for the inpatient nursing unit.
The role involves working in a psychiatric specialty.
There is one opening for this position.
The department serves adult, child, and geriatric patients.
The unit has a total of 72 beds.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:10.
Common diagnoses treated include Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety.
The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, flexible, patient-centered, self-aware, and kind.
Required equipment includes a vitals machine, EKG, bladder scanner, metal detector, and AED.
The electronic health record system used is Cerner.
Weekend hours are every other week or as needed.
There are no call requirements for this position.
Candidates must possess the required certifications prior to starting.
Candidates will float among child, adult, and geriatric units.
The dress code includes navy scrubs; excessive or long jewelry and hoodies are inappropriate attire.
