American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with charge experience and a compact or VA RN license required for a night shift travel assignment.

• Medical Surgical unit setting
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12, 19:00-17:00
• Charge experience required
• Floating may be required in rotation with staff according to facility policy and clinical experience
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Cerner/Oracle Health charting experience preferred, not required

• Active compact or VA RN license required in hand
• Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• BSN not required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access/management, blood product administration, and peripheral line care
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with feeding tube care, insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, and wound care/wound vac
• Cardiac monitoring, telemetry remote monitoring, and emergency response experience
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred

• Biweekly orientation held on Mondays, with 8-10 hours of required modules completed during orientation and annually
• Scrubs may be any color with professional appearance; child-friendly print tops and scrub/lab coats allowed
• Nicotine-free campus
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, preferably none in the first weeks of the assignment
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
