American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit requiring telemetry experience and a compact or VA RN license.

• IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit providing cardiac telemetry and intermediate care
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
• Floats to Intermediate Care and Med Surg units, with travelers floating first as needed
• Cerner/Oracle Health charting experience preferred but not required

• Active compact or VA RN license required in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year experience in unit specialty, 2-3 years overall experience preferred
• Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, central and peripheral line care, and respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy) preferred
• Experience with wound care, IV insulin protocols, and pacemaker management preferred

• Care for patients with cardiac, neurological, renal, and respiratory conditions including CVA, seizure disorders, renal failure, and substance withdrawal
• Participate in biweekly Monday orientation
• Complete 8-10 hours of required training modules during orientation and annually
• Nicotine-free campus
• Scrubs of any color permitted; professional appearance required, including child-friendly prints and lab coats
• Must work some holidays in rotation with staff
• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with preference for no RTO in the first few weeks
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates not accepted
• Former Centra employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
